Monkey See, Monkey Do!

Last night while were at my mom's house Andrew did the cutest thing. So here is the story.
Ever since Barry had his shoulder surgery, he's been putting ice packs on it to help make it feel better. Last night Andrew touched a hot pan and burnt his fingers, it was really quite traumatic for him. Grandma gave him an ice pack and made it all better. A few minutes after all the shock had worn off, he wanted a towel. Of course Grandma gave him a towel. He wrapped his little bag of ice up in it and then tried to stick it in his shirt buy his shoulder. We couldn't figure out what he was doing. He just kept pointing to the ice and then his shoulder saying owie, owie. Eventually I figured out he wanted the ice in his shirt just like daddy does. It was so funny. My only regret was I didn't have my camera to take a picture of it.

Baby Ruby

Here she is!!!!! Ruby Becky Wachter!
Weighing in at 9lbs. 1 oz and measuring 20 " in length!
After 39 weeks of being extremely uncomfortable, my sis-in-law gave birth via C section on February 12 at 7:28 in the morning. Ruby was breech so they had to do the C section. Guess it was a good thing because when they saw her she was spread eagle. She can already do the center splits. As a result of that wonderful position, her legs are still a little spread eagle but are starting to come down.
She is beautiful!!! I haven't seen a baby with this many rolls on her since my 19 year old niece Sierra was born.

Babies, Babies, Babies

What a crazy week for babies around the Wachter family household.
Yesterday we found out that we will be having a GIRL!!! We are super excited about it and can't wait to see her in only 20 more weeks. Which is really far away.

On Sunday, Wendy, my sister, finally made the announcement we had all been waiting for. She is pregnant with a little boy so the doctor thinks. She is due on Aug. 6th. Six weeks after our bundle of joy arrives.

My lovely sis-in-law Brittney (Craig's wife) is have their baby Ruby on Thursday. Stay tuned for pictures to follow this upcoming Friday!!!!

King James

Last Saturday Barry was able to score us some Jazz tickets. We were lucky enough to see them loose to the Cleveland Cavilers. This is the second time I have had the privilege to see King LeBron play the Jazz. The first time we in the upper bowl. This time, we had 5th row tickets. If you were watching the game on tv and were paying attention, you would have seen us behind the Cav's bench. It was amazing!!! Not only did we get to see one of the greatest NBA players but we got some awesome tickets. My husband has the BEST job ever!!!

Surgery a SUCESS!!!

Barry had his shoulder operated on this past Wednesday. It was a same day thing and the doctors and nurses at Orem Community Hospital were awesome. He had a slap lesion repaired (look it up on web md because I really don't know what it is.). His rotator cuff was 90% torn so they fixed it and, the tendon that attaches part of the bicep muscle was also torn so they fixed that too.
I have been playing nurse to him for the past two day and besides the hallucinations the neausea meds gave him he seems to be doing pretty good. He's very sore and has a hard time getting comfy but hopefully all will be healed in time for our Softball season. It starts the first weekend in May down in sunny St. George. At least we hope it will be sunny but you never know.

Christmas Day

Christmas started out with a ton of snow. Barry shoveled our 8" of snow out of the driveway and even built himself a snowman that looked a little like darth vader. It's hard to tell that here but really it did.

We had a fabulous Christmas morning. Of all the toys Andrew recieved, the toy vaccum was and still is his favorite. Who would have known. Barry got me the toy of my dreams, a new IPod Touch. My mini has been on the fritz lately and dies everyday which makes teaching my dance classes pretty hard. All is good now. He also got me some beautiful art work that I need to figure out where to hang. He got a digital media player that will take all of his saved movies on the computer and play them on the TV. No more burning disks for Barry.
The rest of the day was spent at the Wachter household where all 28 of us gathered together for the annual dinner and present exchange. As usual the massive paper fight broke out and even Andrew got involved.
I saved the best picture for last! Cathy, my sis took the best picture of Andrew. It's one that will be shown to girlfriends and others for the rest of his life!!!
I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and will have a safe and wonderful New Year!!!

Andrew's Big Announcement!!!!

Andrew has decided to announce to the world that he is excited to become a big brother!!! Yes I am pregnant. 12 weeks and 2 days to be exact. We broke the news to the family just this last Sunday. It was a pretty good shocker. No one quite expected it. The baby is due on June 30th and If the same thing happens that happened with Andrew, it will be 2 1/2 weeks prior to that day. But I am not counting on it. In February we will attempt to find out the sex of the baby and I will let you all know. So until then I will go about my business of gaging and puking. Happy day to you All!!!
