Is Summer Really Over?

I can't believe school starts on Wednesday!! What happened to June and July??
Oh well. We had a great summer playing, swimming, and just having fun. We've decided our favorite place to swim is the Lindon City Pool. Definitely the best place to go if you have little kids.

We celebrated my Dad's 70th birthday this past month!! Is he really getting up there in age? To me, he'll always be 50 and I'll always be 25. HaHa!!! I'll just keep telling myself that.

Which leads me to my next point. Am I getting old? And, do I look as old as some of the people I occasionally run into that I went to high school with? hmm Just asking.

And finally, we found a great little Day Care Center for Brooks and Andrew about a mile from our house. This cute lady named Mable runs it and so far after 2 days they have survived. We just have to get back into day care mode and well be fine. Just fine. But the kids sure do miss their Sierra.

And really the end is that sorry I have no pictures. Honestly, I'm too lazy to get out the camera and load them on. I'll try harder next time.

Peace out to all!!!

Play Time in July!!!

July started of with our celebration of the 4th which was a bit crazy this year because I was operating 2 fireworks stands for a fundraiser for drill and dance company. None the less we made sure Andrew and Brooklyn got to be a part of the fireworks.

Then we have spent a better part of our days going to the park, swinging, and feeding the ducks at the pond across the street.

We have also spent many nights at the ball park t watch Barry play softball.

Brooklyn is becoming a "big" girl and thinks she can climb the stairs. I am just waiting for her to crack her head open in all of her bravery.
Finally, for the kids birthdays, we bought a swing set for the back yard!! It's great because in the afternoon it's in the shade which makes it enjoyable for me to be out there pushing them. Thanks to daddy and cousin Padan they can finally play on it!!

Brave little sucker isn't she???

That's it for now!! Peace out and Happy Pioneer Days to all you Utahns!!!

Happy Birthday

This past week we celebrated both Brooklyn's and Andrew's birthdays!! Monday the 25th, Brooklyn turned the big 01!!! We went to the Hogle Zoo and had a great time. We also discovered that if you go to the zoo close to closing time, it's a lot less crowded and they still have the carousel and train open!
Self portrait at the Zoo!!

Andrew LOVED the carousel ride! He cried when it was all said and done.

Another self portrait of the family, almost a good picture except Brooks eyes are closed and I am not sure what Barry was looking at.

Before...
After! She didn't even hesitate to dive right in!

For Andrew's third birthday, we went to see Toy Story 3! He had been begging to see it ever since he saw the first commercial. We absolutely Loved it! Of course, I cried at the end. I am such a baby.
So excited to open his presents!!!
And his cake!! Yes there are only two candles on the cake and he turned 3. I thought I had an entire box of candles. Opps!

Happy Easter

Here are a few pictures from the Easter weekend. The Easter Bunny had no trouble locating our house and neither did mother nature. We had a great day listening to conference and spending time with the family.

What's been going on???

So I haven't updated for a very long time. Sorry about that. I am a slacker. Here's what's been going on in no particular order.

Last weekend I went to Anaheim to the drill nationals. I left my babies at home alone for the first time ever. It was hard and I missed them a ton. I still had a ton of fun at Disneyland. I rode the Tower of Terror for the first time ever and LOVED it!! It was a ton of fun. We also did great in the competition. We received 1st in hip-hop (yes white Mormon girls can dance), 2nd in kick and military, and 6 out of 18 for our dance routine. I was super proud of the girls we were rocking it. If you want to catch a video of this performance go to varsity.com and click on the beautiful picture of the girls in black(also my team) and scroll all the way down to the bottom until you find Pleasant Grove and take a look. They did awesome.

Other than that it's business as usual. School, work, FAMILY, and when we find time playing.

I will try and get some pictures up for Easter next week.
